New York headquartered Behavox is expanding its Montreal office from 75 to 400 employees, which when completed will make it the company’s largest office in the world. This represents an investment of approximately $35 million. The company currently has about 150 employees worldwide and has chosen Montreal for its most important expansion so far.

Behavox’s new office still needs to be designed and laid-out, which will wrap up in 2021. For now employees will continue to operate from home until it is safe to resume normal operations. They are emulating other technology companies in their approach to the current environment. In a statement obtained by MTLinTech, the company highlighted that this investment is focused on the long-term, and under this plan it will have enough space to accommodate its fast-growing team once the pandemic subsides. When that happens, the company will be relocating from 1010 Ste-Catherine to the brand new LEED gold Maison Manuvie at 900 de Maisonneuve.

“Montréal is a talent hub in AI and machine learning development. We plan on enriching it,” said Founder and CEO Erkin Adylov, who plans to relocate to our city as part of this expansion. “Our office expansion represents our latest strategic investment in Canada as part of our North American operations. We continue to widen our footprint in Montréal and build our team to accelerate innovation and product development for our customers. While this solution development supports our global go-to-market plan, its proximity enables Behavox to support new and existing Canadian customers with much more efficiency and focus.”

The expansion is taking place in part due to increased demand from customers, who are seeing a great deal of their own employees working from home and in need of additional support. This, combined with our world-famous AI and machine learning talent pool, will make Montreal a global hub for Behavox.
