Behavox would like to invite you to an industry roundtable in Singapore on capture and surveillance of communications on instant messaging platforms.

Behavox roundtables are in-person only, governed by Chatham House rules. No video or audio recording is permitted. Participants will learn how best to approach the regulatory scrutiny around instant messaging platforms such as WhatsApp & WeChat.

The following topics will be discussed at the roundtable:

  • Will MAS follow the example of their American colleagues in probing usage of unauthorised messaging channels? Should we be proactively reaching out to regulatory bodies or waiting for the inevitable knock on the door?
  • Is there a case for simply banning WhatsApp/WeChat/Telegram? If not, then how best to approach it from a books and records perspective?
  • Is capturing instant messaging an effective solution? Are you also looking for channel hopping within communications?

Date:
Tuesday, January 17

Time:
3:00pm – 4:30pm SGT (Roundtable)
5:00pm – 6:00pm SGT (Networking Reception)

Location:
Maxwell Chambers

Singapore 069115
